Xinrong Lin is a Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research lies at the interdisciplinary interface of organic materials synthesis, ion-conducting matter, and advanced electrochemical energy-storage technologies. Her group develops molecular and polymeric materials for solid-state batteries, lithium-metal batteries, and fast-charging systems, with particular emphasis on how precise molecular information is translated across condensed phases, interfaces, and devices.

Before joining SIOC, she worked in both academic and industrial research environments, including battery-materials research at BASF and appointments at Duke Kunshan University and Duke University. This combined background informs a research program that connects fundamental molecular design with experimentally testable electrochemical function.
